When can we expect a Rick and Morty Season 6 release date? Given the somewhat erratic release schedule that the show has had in the past, fans are confused about when we’ll see it hit Adult Swim airwaves again. Here’s everything we know about the renewal so far.
Rick and Morty Season 6 release date rumors
The rumors around Rick and Morty Season 6 have been all over the internet for some time now. The co-creators have kept offering updates on its progress. In 2020, co-creator Dan Harmon confirmed that the script of the awaited season has already begun, so there are possibilities for it to hit our screens in mid-2022
Generally, Rick and Morty come back with a new season after taking a break of around 1.5-2 years. Also, the creator confirmed that the show would be off-screen for the same window of time we’ve seen previously before coming back with Season 6. So, if that’s accurate, we can expect the show to premiere by the end of 2022 or early 2023.
That’s a friggin’ wrap on Rick & Morty season 7. We all stared into the abyss & saw the face of God & It was a Gundam.

In August 2021, Cody Zigler, the show’s writer, tweeted about wrapping up writing Season 7. Hopefully, that means the sixth season is well into production at this point. If so, we can likely expect an official release date announcement anytime in the coming months. The first announcement may also come alongside an official trailer, which might also confirm the episode count of the sixth season.
Rick and Morty has been consistent in terms of episodes in each season. If that continues to be the case, Season 6 will also feature ten episodes. The show was renewed for 70 more episodes after the third season aired, which means there’ll likely be at least four more seasons after the sixth premieres.
