Quordle Answer 187: July 30, 2022 Word Solution

The Quordle answer 187 for July 30, 2022 has been discovered. Today’s puzzle is just about as difficult as yesterday’s, somewhere around a 4 on a scale from 1 to 10. Three of the words shouldn’t give you too much trouble, particularly if you get one particular letter near the beginning of the puzzle. There’s an average of about five uncommon letters spread throughout the solution, along with two instances of double consonants, though in this case it’s the same letter twice. Out of the bunch, we find that the first word, in the upper-left corner, is the most difficult due to it having two uncommon consonants. For a hint, it’s the name of a particular type of drug made from a flower. Need the full solution? Well, it’s been posted right after this intro.

What is Quordle answer 187? (July 30, 2022)

Quordle Answer 187

The Quordle answer 187 is:

  • “OPIUM”
  • “CHOCK”
  • “HORDE”
  • “CYNIC”

“OPIUM” is the obvious choice for being the most challenging word among the four. Not only does have the uncommon “P” and “M” consonants in relatively unusual positions, but none of the other words have either letter so solving them won’t help you sadly. The one clue that will assist you is that there aren’t many five-letter words with the three “O,” “I,” and “U” vowels. Still, we had to use an extra guess to try the word “BLIMP” just to see if we can eliminate some possibilities off the board, which luckily helped us get both uncommon consonants in the word.

Otherwise, the general strategy of taking care of all of the common consonants and vowels at the start of the puzzle will take care of the other three words for the most part. We use “LUCKY” in our opening prep so we got the “K” in “CHOCK” right away. Hopefully, you’ll have the courage to try the double “C” in both “CHOCK” and “CYNIC.” They both should be relatively easy to unscramble.

In other news, the ultra unlock bonuses for the Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries event are now active, and the GTA 6 Vice City map should be larger but won’t be to avoid crunch.
